Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Addison, TX

Reports to: VP of Finance

Department: Finance

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic accounting and finance team at Risk Theory, an industry-leading insurance platform. This individual will play a key role in supporting the VP of Finance and collaborating across multiple business units, independently focused on specialty areas of insurance services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, with a particular focus on supporting the strategic and operational needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support business planning and decision-making.

Lead and support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budget processes for the company and its subsidiaries.

Analyze financial results, including variance analysis, and provide insights to senior management on key performance drivers.

Monitor the financial performance of the various entities and assist in identifying opportunities for financial optimization and operational efficiencies.

Assist in evaluating and performing due diligence on potential acquisitions, and other strategic investments.

Create financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses to assess the impact of M&A activity on the organization.

Support the integration of acquired businesses, including financial reporting, systems integration, and operational analysis.

Identify opportunities to streamline FP&A and accounting processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance financial reporting systems.

Minimum Experience & Education

Typically requires 4+ years of finance experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business

Critical Skills

Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting experience.

Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, and financial planning software).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings to senior management.

Experience with M&A financial analysis, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration is highly desirable.

Self-motivated, organized and capable of handling multiple responsibilities and projects
