Title: Mainframe Developer

Location: Chandler, AZ

Duration: 12+ months.

Job Description

Develop, test, and maintain COBOL applications in an IBM zOS environment.

Perform CICS development tasks, including new development and debugging/refactoring of existing code.

Execute large-scale batch processes using JCL.

Manage and optimize databases using DB2 or equivalent relational database platforms.

Utilize enterprise job scheduling packages (CA7, CA11, AutoSys) to manage job workflows.

Implement and maintain source control using Endevor.

Develop and integrate web services and RESTful APIs.

Handle VSAM files for data storage and retrieval.

Work with MQ for messaging and communication between applications.

Use debugging tools like Xpediter and Abend-AID to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

7+ years of combined experience in COBOL in an IBM zOS environment

7+ years of experience in CICS development, including new development and debugging/refactoring existing code

5+ years of experience using JCL to execute large-scale batch processes

5+ years of experience with DB2 or equivalent relational database platform

5+ years of experience using enterprise job scheduling packages such as CA7, CA11, and/or AutoSys

5+ years of experience using enterprise source control packages such as Endevor

3+ years of experience with web services and RESTful APIs

5+ years of experience using VSAM files

3+ years of experience with MQ

1+ years of experience with debugging tools like Xpediter and Abend-AID
