Engineering Technician Specialist

A premier manufacturer of inductor components for the RF & MW Industry is looking for a dedicated Engineering Technician Specialist to enhance our production support and engineering team. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals with a solid mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing process foundation. You will report directly to the V.P of Engineering.

Location: Onsite (Tyngsboro, MA)

Hours: M-F 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct electrical and environmental testing on inductor components.

Manage data input and extraction using various computer applications for testing.

Document production procedures using Microsoft Office tools.

Operate fully automated winding machinery.

Use custom injection molding equipment for product development.

Collaborate with engineering to develop innovative manufacturing processes.

Assemble test samples utilizing soldering and micro-electronic bonding devices.

Support the assembly and testing of new manufacturing equipment.

Contribute to the manufacturing of custom products.

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with manufacturing equipment.

Perform other technician-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications / Experience:

At least 3 years of experience as an Engineering Technician in manufacturing or R&D settings.

Proficient in operating various manufacturing and testing equipment.

Skilled with hand tools, basic power tools, and soldering equipment.

Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.

Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.

Able to use a microscope and fine tools to manage small components safely.

Competent in interpreting and following written instructions.

Ability to read and understand product specifications and mechanical drawings.

Basic math skills are necessary.

Organized individual with exceptional documentation capabilities.

Able to multitask and thrive in a dynamic manufacturing atmosphere.

Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Comprehend both written and verbal communications effortlessly.

Beneficial Experience (not essential):

Associate’s Degree in Electronics or Engineering Technology.

Prior experience with electrical and environmental testing.

Injection molding experience.

Experience in a Micro-Manufacturing environment.
