Job Title: Locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Join our dedicated team at a thriving hospital in Mason City, Iowa! We are looking for a skilled Locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist to support our growing cardiac surgery program at our facility, which is equipped with 8 operating rooms and a level II trauma center. Our practice environment offers a collaborative setting with a team of six anesthesiologists, catering to a diverse patient demographic. Job Responsibilities:

Provide cardiac anesthesia care, including monitoring and managing patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Assist with general anesthesia cases when no cardiac surgeries are scheduled.

Supervise CRNA students in the operating room as needed.

Maintain thorough documentation in Cerner and prepare for transition to EPIC.

Engage in a variety of surgical cases, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. Qualifications:

Board Certified in Cardiac Anesthesiology (Preferred; Board Eligible will be considered).

Active Iowa License or IMLC (Required).

TEE Certified with the ability to read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures (Required).

Cardiac Fellowship (Preferred; extensive experience accepted if TEE certified).

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (Required).

COVID Vaccinated (Required).

Availability for specified dates of coverage (Required). License and Certification Requirements:

All licenses and certifications must be current and active, including the Iowa license, TEE certification, and Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
