About the Real Estate Company- Commercial Property Accountant

CFS of New York is working with a Real Estate and Investment firm as they are looking for a Commercial Property Accountant to join their team

Our client boasts one of the largest real estate portfolios in the US, as they have 450+ properties including retail, residentials, office, and hotel buildings

This role reports to the Controller and Assistant Controller and will be asked to in the office daily in Jersey City, NJ

Role Responsibilities- Commercial Property Accountant

Preparing monthly reports on the Commercial property business including all active properties that the firm works with

Reviewing the budgets for the construction including working on conducting monthly requisitions for contractors

Comply with the development of accounting policies and procedures

Comply with internal controls policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications- Commercial Property Accountant

3-5 years experience of relevant accounting experience in Real Estate

Bachelors degree in Accounting, CPA or MBA is a plus

Experience working with an ERP system such as Yardi, MRI or Deltek is a plus; strong Excel skills
