Workday Subject Matter Expert
Our client, a leading nonprofit organization in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Workday Instructional Designer and Trainer to support their Workday go-live scheduled for Summer, 2025. This role will involve developing and delivering training materials and sessions for staff across the organization, ensuring they are proficient in using the new Workday system. The ideal candidate will have extensive Workday experience and be able to collaborate effectively with an external consulting firm.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement instructional materials for Workday modules (e-learning courses, training manuals, quick reference guides, video tutorials).
Facilitate engaging training sessions (in-person and virtual) for various user groups.
Collaborate with external consulting firm and subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and up-to-date.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback.
Provide ongoing support and mentorship to users post-training.
Assist in developing communication materials related to Workday updates and training.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience in instructional design and training, specifically with Workday.
Strong understanding of learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and LMS.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Workday certification in relevant modules (preferred).
Experience with Change Management principles.
Knowledge of instructional technologies and multimedia design.
Ability to work with a high degree of ambiguity.
Diplomatic.
Physical Requirements:
Hybrid schedule: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote; flexibility for the right candidate!
Ability to conduct in person training.
