Position Title: Database Administrator
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Database Administrator role.
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
Comprehensive knowledge of SQL and database administration, including database modeling and design experience.
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions
Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization techniques
Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as database mirroring, log shipping, and clustering
Understanding of database security best practices and the capability to implement and enforce security measures
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skillsResponsibilities:
As the SQL Server Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the SQL Server databases.
Manage and monitor both SQL Server and databases/servers to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security
Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime
Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as index rebuilding, query optimization, and database tuning
Proactively identify and resolve database performance issues and bottlenecks
Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective use of database resources
Develop and implement database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data
Monitor and analyze database and server performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement
Plan and execute database migration and upgrade projects
Troubleshoot and resolve database/server related problems in a timely manner
Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
