Job title: Lumber Sales Support

Pay: Starting at $25 - $30 an hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am to 5pm

Location: Tacoma, Washington

Lumber Sales Support person will assist the sales teams in providing exceptional service for our customers. This role involves supporting sales representatives, helping managing Lumber take-offs, Siding take-offs, Hardware take-offs along with double checking Opti-Frame layouts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of the lumber industry, including knowledge of Opti-Frame.

Qualifications

2+ years of previous experience with construction and understanding building plans

Customer service experience

Familiarity with software, specifically MiTek Sapphire or Bluebeam preferred

Ability to speak, write, and read English required

Must be able to operate personal computers, smartphones, scanners, and any other equipment necessary for the job

Must be able to type 40+ WPM

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Duties and Responsibilities

Help manage and update the customer's material list database and update material lists due to plan changes

Assist in resolving customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally

Conduct Opti-Frame double checks to ensure accurate framing and material specifications

Utilize knowledge of lumber takeoffs to assist in project planning and material estimation

Stay informed about industry trends, new products and competitor activities

Provide training to new team members on industry practices, including Opti-Frame and material take-offs

Perform other duties as assigned

This position is in an office environment at a desk with a computer. The working hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time

Ability to work indoors in a normal office environment for an entire day

Must be able to grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard

Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
