Job Summary
Maintains and enhances pricing optimization cycles through data analysis and market research to determine optimal prices for products, aiming to maximize revenue and profitability while meeting customer demand. Responsible for monitoring the performance of the optimization cycle decisions and their impact on revenue, profitability, and margins through insightful tracking. Provide support to the Strategic Pricing team through key process automation to improve efficiency and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, pricing strategy, and process automation.
Responsibilities
Essential functions
Oversees and executes pricing optimization cycles for customer matrix and base matrix levels.
Examines historical sales data and analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning to refine pricing strategies.
Develops and implements strategies to improve pricing accuracy and responsiveness to market changes.
Reviews pricing performance and adjusts models to maximize ticket margin and gross profit.
Develops and maintains detailed tracking and reporting for ticket margin and gross profit impacts.
Monitors exceptions and trends related to price erosion and price adherence and drives improvement through root cause analysis, provides recommendations and support of improvement plans and/or activities
Provides actionable insights to the pricing and sales teams to enhance profitability and competitive positioning.
Automates key pricing cycle processes to enhance efficiency and minimize errors.
Develops automated reports and dashboards for real-time insights into pricing performance and margin impact.
Optimizes data collection and analysis workflows to improve decision-making speed and accuracy.
Stays updated on emerging technologies and recommend automation solutions to drive process improvements.
Creates and automates templates for analyzing margin erosion, floor and target pricing, cluster analysis, pricing expiry and other pricing-related insights.
Delivers regular and ad-hoc reporting on pricing performance, profitability, and market trends.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align pricing strategies within business objectives.

Assists both open market and alliance strategic pricing team with reporting as needed
Coordinates Customer Price List review with strategic pricing team
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, data science, or related field or the equivalent of years of experience, required.
Minimum of three years’ of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or a similar analytical role.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
Experience with process automation, machine learning, AI, and reporting development (e.g., RStudio, Python).
Experience in managing and analyzing large datasets, with a strong attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify trends and patterns in complex datasets.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
Prefer strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint, and Outlook), Internet, and SAP software.
