Responsibilities

Oversee Oracle RMAN backups and recovery, DataPump backups and restores, Data Guard; Golden Date change data capture (CDC), log mining, advanced compression, partitioning.

Responsible for SQL Server Database restores, clustering, replication and always-on.

Manage all databases: cloning, creating new DBs, monitoring, performance tuning, shell scripting, logs checks.

Application team support: provide support and guidance on best database practices, troubleshoot, implement database changes/new objects.

Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure, functional capabilities and usage. Act as an escalation point for any project or issue related to databases.

Responsible for database design and issues impacting database functionality, security, and availability, upgrades and migration projects.

Advise management on the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to improve the functionality and efficiencies of the company databases.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent related technical field.

Master s Degree a plus with a concentration in database management.

4+ years DBA experience with Oracle RAC on ODA and OCI.

2+ years DBA experience with SQL Server Databases on on-prem and Azure.

1+ years experience working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

Oracle Certification is a plus.

MS SQL Server certification is a plus. Oracle / SQL DBA
