Job Title: Cold Fusion Web Developer (6-Month / Contract)

About the Role:
We are seeking a Temporary Web Developer to support the internal web services team at an academic institution during a staff member's leave of absence. This six-month contract offers a unique opportunity to contribute to mission-driven digital infrastructure in a hands-on development and support role. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, technically proficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that serves a diverse campus community.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain server-side web applications using CFML (Lucee), SQL, JavaScript/AJAX, HTML, and CSS
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across enterprise-level web applications
Provide day-to-day user support and documentation
Collaborate with internal teams using Agile-style sprint planning
Track project tasks and communicate updates effectively
Qualifications
Education:
Associate degree or higher in a related field Experience:
Minimum 1 year of professional web development experience with CFML
Experience supporting and building enterprise or institutional web platforms Technical Skills:
Previous professional CFML experience is required
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/AJAX
Server-side programming experience (CFML or ColdFusion preferred)
SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
Git or other version control systems
Familiarity with jQuery and object-based programming is a plus Certifications:

Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
