Grain Operations Worker – Fairmont Location

Pay: $20/hour

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40-55 hours per week with occasional overtime)

About the Role:

This position is part of a production-style grain elevator focused on corn-based production and shipment rather than harvest work. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is key.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Grain Operations Worker, you’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks to support grain processing and shipping operations, including:

- Receiving, storing, cleaning, packaging and shipping grain

- General housekeeping (sweeping grain, washing facility, maintaining cleanliness)

- Performing basic maintenance tasks

- Loading and unloading trucks

- Organizing and scooping grain

- Assisting in loading 30 train cars per week

- Providing excellent customer service when working with clients

- Operating heavy equipment (Bobcat, Forklift, Payloader—after training)

- Running truck dumps safely and efficiently

Physical Requirements:

This is a physically demanding role, requiring:

- Heavy lifting (50 - 100 pounds)

- Frequent bending, walking and climbing

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

- Willingness to learn and work with machinery

- Strong attention to safety and operational efficiency
