Responsibilities

Role Summary Material Mover & Helper is responsible for supporting the packaging operators, line leads, and Supervisors with moving, cartooning, and packing materials.

This role is set to take place from 10:00 p.m. to 6:15 a.m. and is classified as temporary employment for a duration of 120 days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Ensure that all products are packaged according to standard operating procedures and batch records for specific products.• Load and unload material during packaging operation as assigned.• Help in cartoning operation for product to be cartoned. Fill finished cartons into shipper cases.• Material handling of packaging components and finished goods including unpacking receivables and packing and stacking cases along with pallet movement.• Load cases onto pallets. Move material as necessary using a pallet jack.• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.• Operators must adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure that the final product meets high-quality standards. • Perform other job duties as requested by the line leader or supervisor.• Visual inspection of the line/materials as per instructions from the Line Lead / Superviso

Qualifications

Education & Experience • High school diploma or equivalency degree • Basic grammatical skills and communication skills, both written and oral to keep others informed of progress and changes in the status of work • Must be able to read, write and speak English • Able to work as part of a team and adapt to changes in work duties • Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail. Reading electronic forms and taking electronic tests.

Physical and Environmental Conditions The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply. In general, the activity level one usually performs is light physical activity in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. This position may require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. Generally, work is performed in a warehouse environment
