Summary You will serve as a EGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the REPAIR DEPARTMENT of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
Salary Range GS-09: $68,686- $89,290 Salary Range GS-10: $75,638- $98,326 Responsibilities You will prepare Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) and Technical Work Document (TWD) Record Sheets in accordance with Navy and locally generated instructions.
You will review and approve Ship’s Force proposed tag outs as the Repair Activity Representative (RAR) in support of IMF maintenance.
You will act as a point of contact for all trades, ships force, and outside activities to schedule, open and close, and accomplish all shipboard work in tanks and confined spaces.
You will represent Work Control Group at critiques, refit planning meetings, process improvement teams, and Lean Rapid Improvement Events.
You will coordinate all shop inspections and work in tanks and confined spaces.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering concepts and practices to analyze data (e.g.
technical drawings, technical manuals, engineering memorandums, engineering designs, Work Authorization Forms (WAFs), Technical Work Documents (TWD's), Record Sheets} to identify mechanical equipment or testing deficiencies, and develop and implement recommendations to improve processes or procedures in support of ship or submarine repairs.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-08) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering concepts and practices to analyze data (e.g.
