The Administrative Billing Specialist is primarily responsible for reviewing, auditing and data entry of bills submitted by medical providers for compliance with proper billing practices.
Essential Functions
Answer phone and direct calls
Answer door, sign for deliveries and prepare out-going mail
Process medical bills
Process checks
Update and distribute monthly reports
Open and distribute mail
Assist examiners with correspondence
Inventory and order office supplies
Supervision Received
Reports to the Office Manager
Experience and Education Required
— Data entry and receptionist experience
Additional Skills Needed
— Effective written and verbal communication
— Detail oriented
— Strong organizational ability
— Basic computer literacy skills
— Medical Billing experience is preferred
