Senior Embedded Systems Engineer

Their experience includes electronic systems that have been successfully deployed to space, production systems currently being used across the globe, and software applications used by government and private institutions in the aerospace and medical fields. Recognized in 2018-2022 as one of the fastest growing companies in their state, they are looking for a Junior Embedded Systems Engineer to fill a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement RTL and software for embedded devices, embedded processors, and systems from requirements to prototype, production, and deployment
Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software
Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources
Interface with hardware design and development
Document design process and the resulting system, as well as report system results
Support customers in the integration and deployment of the systems
May need to perform hardware design (schematic, PCB).
Experienced candidates have the potential to lead and coach a team of 1 to 3 other engineers.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience as an embedded systems engineer
Strong experience in FPGA design, synthesis, and simulation
Extensive experience with lab equipment
Strong experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targetsStrong desire to work with hardware (embedded processors, FPGAs, other electronic systems)
Knowledge of Verilog for synthesis and simulation
Knowledge of FPGA design flow using LiberoSoC and Vivado
Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meters, etc.)
Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
Experience programming microcontrollers and other applications
Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review
Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems
Good documentation and writing skills
Ability to read schematics and component data sheets
Team player, methodic, organized.

Education – Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field.
