We are seeking an experienced Paper Machine Operations Manager to join our team in a unionized manufacturing environment. This role reports directly to the Mill Manager and plays a critical part in ensuring safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in our paper production operations.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage operations of the paper machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Foster strong relationships and collaborate with union employees to drive operational success.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the production team, ensuring continuous development and growth.
• Act as a change agent, leading process improvements and driving innovation.
Minimum requirements for this Paper Machine Operations Manager:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Paper Sciences, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience working with paper machines.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in union environments preferred.
