Full Stack Engineer (Cleared)

AEP Hawaii has been engaged by one of the hottest defense tech software start-ups globally. We’re hiring a remote Cleared Senior Full-stack Engineer and are looking for the top 10% of Software Engineering talent in the US.

180-215K base + equity.

Remote with travel one week a month

Join a small, agile start-up engineering team building mission-critical applications to defend our nation and the pacific! This role collaborates closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Software Engineers to shape the technical and product vision, leveraging a modern tech stack to deliver impactful defense technology solutions.

Background

5+ years Full-stack Software Engineering experience within a high-growth, startup environment required (Series A-D) + clearance

Extensive experience building user-facing products with expertise in JavaScript & Typescript

Proven proficiency in React, and experience with responsive, high-performance UI development.

5+ years of full-stack experience, including relational databases (e.g., Postgres), caching tools (e.g., Redis), and object storage (e.g., S3).

Familiarity with best practices for testing web applications.

Must be a U.S. resident or citizen. (Clearance required)

Responsibilities

Develop and implement new features and user interfaces.

Architect efficient, reusable front-end systems optimized for high-performance web applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, user-focused products.

Lead the development of significant features and guide architectural improvements.

Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members.
