We are hiring for Field Wireless Network Technician in Grand Rapids, MI(Field Work)
Position Title: Field Wireless Network Technician
Work Type: Field Work (Travel and Flex Hours Required)
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical certifications in wireless networking (e.g., CWNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with wireless network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of LTE and 5G wireless technologies.
Experience with backhaul/transport protocols and infrastructure, such as EBH, Nokia equipment, Dark Fiber, and Lit Circuits.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Configuration
Install, configure, and test wireless network equipment including access points, antennas, base stations, repeaters, cell site routers, and microwave links.
Apply network configurations based on engineering designs and project requirements.
Troubleshooting & Optimization
Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues to minimize downtime during network turn-ups.
Collaborate with Network Operations Center (NOC) teams to resolve escalated issues.
Site Surveys & Assessments
Conduct site surveys to evaluate signal strength, RF coverage, and identify potential interference.
Use RF measurement tools and software for data collection and analysis.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of installation, integration, and configuration activities.
Document changes and updates to network equipment and settings.

Follow all safety guidelines and regulations when working on-site or handling network hardware.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with industry standards and best practices.
