Job Title: General Manager – Manufacturing Operations

Job Location: El Paso, Texas - Full-Time On-Site

Our client, a fast-growing US-based manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager of Manufacturing to oversee operations at their El Paso, Texas facility. This company focuses on advancing domestic production through a combination of lean manufacturing practices, quality craftsmanship, and modern automation in a high-mix environment.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in operational transformation and is experienced in scaling teams and production capabilities during rapid growth phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily manufacturing and fulfillment operations across fabrication, welding, powder coating, woodworking, and shipping.

Foster a culture centered around safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Implement lean manufacturing systems and structured daily management routines across the facility.

Lead capital investment projects, facility expansion initiatives, and process optimization efforts.

Manage the full-site P&L with a focus on driving key operational and financial performance metrics.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, engineering, and sourcing teams.

Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team focused on operational excellence and growth.

Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain a zero-tolerance safety culture.

Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methodologies.

Support significant revenue growth by scaling production output while maintaining high quality and delivery standards.

Qualifications:

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in high-mix, low-volume environments.

Demonstrated success in scaling facilities and teams through periods of rapid growth.

Strong background in lean manufacturing; experience with the Toyota Production System highly preferred.

Expertise in fabrication, welding, powder coating, and woodworking production processes.

ERP/MRP systems experience and production scheduling expertise are required.

Proficiency with structured problem-solving tools such as A3, 5 Whys, and Fishbone Analysis.

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Strong financial and operational acumen, with the ability to drive improvements in key performance indicators.
