Your role

In this role you will help ensure the quality and reliability of our innovative robotics / autonomous / AI systems. You will work closely with other engineering and product teams to understand requirements and design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans / strategies to validate functional, performance and safety requirements. As part of the test processes, you will also be responsible for identifying, analyzing and reporting software, mechanical and electrical issues and / or unexpected behavior. You will conduct performance and reliability tests to evaluate the system under various load and environmental conditions, as well as perform various types of development, integration and stress testing to validate consistent functionality and results. Throughout the testing lifecycle, you should demonstrate high standards in test operations, as well as identify and share opportunities for safety and process improvements, cost savings.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with an extremely talented and diverse team, and must be interested, capable and comfortable with working both independently and as part of a distributed (global) team.

You will be operating state of the art heavy equipment both manually and autonomously. This role is on site at our global headquarters in Brighton, CO.

Your skills

Preferred BSc. in an engineering / technical field or the equivalent experience in a similar technical discipline.

Preferred 2 years of experience testing robotic systems, autonomous vehicles or other automation products.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred experience with the software development life cycle, modern software / hardware / system testing methods, as well as continuous integration and deployment.

Required basic knowledge of Linux and command-line interface operations.

Passionate about robotics and not afraid of solving challenging problems under time pressure.

Preferred experience with working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, XP).

Problem solver with a hands-on and a “fall in love with the problem not the solution” attitude.

Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple-tasks simultaneously, often under pressure and with tight deadlines.

Must be self-motivated and have strong verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with ROS, C++ and / or Python a plus

Travel

10% to 25% domestic travel; occasional international travel (Europe)

Compensation

$55,000 - $70,000 / year depending on experience and skills
