We are currently assisting our client, a global leader in manufacturing, powering, automating, integrating, and securing critical infrastructure and facilities, in their search for Value Stream Foreman (3rd Shift - 4AM to 2:30PM), for their Richmond/North Richmond, VA location. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a team that designs, deploys, and sustains advanced technology systems, enhancing operational efficiency and improving outcomes for clients.

Seeking a highly driven and experienced Value Stream Foreman to lead operations within a defined production stream. Responsible for coordinating daily activities across production, quality, and maintenance functions to ensure efficient output, optimal resource use, and ongoing process improvements. This role requires strong team management skills, a focus on operational excellence, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. THIS IS AN URGENT NEED!

Location: Richmond/North Richmond (past Ashland), VA - 100% Onsite (not remote or hybrid). State of the art facility - climate controlled - automated & robotics driven - super impressive!

Compensation Range: $30/hour - $40/hour, plus 10+ hours of overtime weekly, (total comp = $90k - $105k), plus expedited career pathing track, with stellar benefits package, PTO, 401k, STD, LTD, tuition reimbursement, and much more! Relocation assistance is available but as this is an URGENT need, ability to move quickly and closer to the state of VA, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations Oversight

Direct all activities within an assigned production stream to ensure alignment with output, quality, and performance goals.

Manage daily workflows and ensure adherence to safety, efficiency, and production standards.

Team Development & Supervision

Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team including production staff, quality control, and maintenance personnel.

Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Production Planning

Work closely with planning and scheduling personnel to meet production requirements based on demand and inventory targets.

Adapt schedules as necessary to maintain on-time delivery and operational flexibility.

Process Improvement

Promote and implement Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

Identify inefficiencies, analyze root causes, and develop solutions to enhance throughput and reduce waste.

Performance Metrics & Reporting

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the value stream’s success.

Use data to guide decisions and communicate performance trends to relevant stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate with departments such as engineering, supply chain, and logistics to ensure cohesive workflows.

Troubleshoot operational disruptions and align efforts across teams to resolve issues.

Quality Control

Ensure all work meets established quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Support the implementation of corrective actions and quality management systems.

Resource & Safety Management

Oversee workforce scheduling, equipment usage, and material availability.

Promote and enforce workplace safety standards through regular audits and staff training.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate records of procedures, performance metrics, and operational changes.

Prepare reports and support audits or inspections as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, or related field; or equivalent industry experience (10+ years preferred).

Proven background in manufacturing or production supervision.

Hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement.

Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Competence in analyzing production data and driving decisions from insights.

Strong mechanical experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and carry 60 lbs over extended periods.

Capable of moving and setting up ladders, scaffolding, and working at heights up to 60 feet.

Regular movement including walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and reaching overhead.

Adequate vision (corrected if needed), color perception, and hearing.

Ability to detect irregularities or potential issues in operations and communicate effectively in English.
