Job Title: Project Assistant / Technical Designer

Reports to: Director of Product Development

Starting Salary: $42,000/year with benefits and bonus opportunities

Location: Found Surface Headquarters: Cleveland, Ohio

Found Surface is hiring a Project Assistant / Technical Designer to support our Director of Product Development and Development Team. This hybrid role bridges project management, technical apparel design, and vendor communication. You’ll help streamline workflows, assist with technical design in CLO 3D, and coordinate production partners. Strong organization, technical skills, and adaptability are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a buffer between leadership and the development team.

• Organize and optimize project timelines, assign deadlines, and adjust priorities as needed.

• Create and manage tech packs, flats, and CLO 3D models for development projects.

• Track inventory and material needs tied to projects.

• Communicate directly with production partners, dye houses, and suppliers.

• Help improve internal workflow and external project management processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficient in CLO 3D, Adobe Illustrator, Google Workspace, Katana, and Asana.

• Strong technical design and problem-solving skills.

• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

• Clear, confident communication skills, both internal and external.

• Familiarity with cut and sew development preferred; willing to knitwear processes.

• Understanding of sourcing, supply chain, or production processes is a plus.
