PRICING & PROPOSAL ANALYST - MIDDLETOWN CT
Under direction of the Proposals Team Leader/Manager, the role is responsible for preparing pricing proposals in accordance with the Cost Estimating System Manual and applicable US Government Cost & Accounting Standards.
What does the role entail? Here are few responsibilities:
You will clarify the Request for Proposals (RFP), Scope of Supply and any other applicable RFP’s requirements
You will oversee responsibility for preparation of proposal cost volume to include cost/pricing data, internal price reviews and approvals
You will assist Contracts Management with the proposal submittal and negotiations for programs of significant scope and complexity.
You will prepare detailed Bill of Material (BOM) and Estimate the direct labor hours for all items on the BOM.
Estimate and develop manufacturing touch labor, engineering support labor, manufacturing support labor, tooling, test equipment, travel, other direct costs (ODCs) and any applicable support labor ratios and material allowance/scrap factors.
A strong understanding of government-based proposals is essential to work with contracts that require compliance with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFAR (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation) guidelines, preferred
Well-versed in Cost & Pricing Data (CAPD) requirements and maintain full transparency through detailed financial disclosures preferred
