Description
Tensor ID, Inc. is seeking an Engineer with a passion for programming to strengthen Tensor ID’s position in the industrial machine vision and robotic world. This position is located in Oceanside, CA office. The role is for a well-rounded Automation Engineer to design, implement and program image-based technology to the fields of electronics, aerospace, medical devices, pharmaceutical, automotive and other vertical markets. Please note the hours for this position are between 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.
Job Responsibilities
· Design and implement application software of Machine Vision and Robotic equipment. (Zebra, Omron, Dalsa, and many other PC Vision Based platforms)
· Maintain existing application software and custom software solutions.
· Perform software testing and verification
· Work with technicians, engineering, and consultant staff as needed
· Provide technical support to select customers
· Light PLC Programming
· Visual Basic / Visual Studios, C# Support
· Imaging of Incoming Samples for potential clients
· Light Drawing (AutoCAD or equivalent)
· Phone Support (Tech Support)
· Maintenance of customer files to cloud
· Field installation & Service
· Please note the hours for this role are 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
· 25% Travel Required
· Work Overtime when required
Required Experience
· BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering degree
· Demonstrated experience in the automation industry
· Experience with multiple programming languages and software programs like: .NET, C#, LabVIEW, Visual Basic, SQL, Ethernet (TCP/IP) plus networking, HTML, MATLAB, JAVA/J2 EE, Ether CAT, and Ladder Logic
· Extensive knowledge of Windows-based computer programs
· GUI development and design
· Demonstrated knowledge of Programming Logic Controllers (PLC) (e.g. Allen-Bradley and Siemens) and the configuration and design of HMI/OIT systems.
· Machine Vision and barcode reader experience a + (e.g. Omron, Dalsa, Microscan, Banner, Matrox, NI, Keyence or other) and various Motion Controllers/Actuators (e.g. IAI and Yasakawa)
· MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND PASSPORT
