The Opportunity
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible identifying business growth opportunities within their assigned accounts through learning, understanding, developing and managing our customer needs and expectations. The BDR is an expert in understanding how our customers operate, their goals and objectives, their organization infrastructure and maintains and interacts with a broad set of contacts within their assigned accounts in an effort to identify opportunities and ultimately increase sales of Server Products. The BDR is part of the Sales Operations Team and is focused primarily on the top 40 Server customers.
Responsibilities
Maintain business relationships and customer agreements with assigned accounts, proactively contacting those customers to update them on new products and offer equipment recommendations.
Utilizes the Strategizer tool to conduct account leaning calls in order to develop a customer specific canvas by assigned accounts and Identifies customer opportunities
Research accounts to identify key players and generate interest, routing qualified opportunities to the sales team for further development and closure.
Review customer purchasing histories to gain insights and opportunities for penetration and growth.
Works with the sales leadership and business managers to create specific goals, objectives, strategies and measures for assigned customers
Works with the Sales team to understand the needs and expectations of the customers and provides relevant solutions for their operations
As needed, connects with customers directly to explains details of the different products and services offered and makes the appropriate recommendations that convince customer to buy Server Products
Demonstrate product knowledge and methods of using products to resolve customer needs
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with high level of confidence
Good organizational skills, management skills and ability to be energetic when interacting with new and potential customer
Excellent judgment, discretion, and critical thinking
Ability to analyze the market and target potential clients
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
Must be able to work independently and productively or in a team environment
