Job title: Import Export Coordinator/Logistics Coordinator-II

Duration: 06 Months of contract position (Possible extension)

Location: Belvidere, NJ 07823

Shift: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Pay Rate: $33.00/Hour on W2

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Order Management:

Monitor import shipments while in-transit, at port, and upon delivery to destination.

Track and trace cargo using current and new technology platforms integrated into the DSM network.

Monitor orders for DNPE, DNPLA, DNPAP, and DNPCN by running daily Open Order reports (exports) and Unconfirmed Orders with Fix Date checks.

Schedule order GI dates in SAP based on Global requested ETAs and product availability.

Prepare daily and weekly open order reports to ensure timely fulfilment and shipping/delivery scheduling as required by customers.

Support plant personnel by performing urgent daily changes in SAP to enable packaging and shipping activities.

SAP Order Fulfilment and Systems Support

Create and modify OR sales orders, ZFD (sample) orders, CR (credit memos), and DR (debit memos) in SAP.

Run VA0A for sales order reporting and use MD04, MMBE, and MB51 to review stock requirements and inventory status.

Demonstrate technical expertise across the SAP system for effective order fulfilment and management.

Customs and Compliance:

Manage day-to-day relationships with customs brokers in the USA and Canada.

Perform spot audits of customs entries and coordinate corrections with brokers and relevant government agencies if required.

Provide regulatory support, including documentation for audits, customs, FDA, etc.

Research and address customer complaints related to logistics and coordinate corrective actions.

Investigate claims and damages, working with Zurich Insurance and agents to submit claims and follow up on refunds.

Administrative & Financial Coordination:

Liaise with the back office to ensure smooth invoice processing from brokers and carriers for both HNH and ANH.

Communicate regularly with the regional business support team regarding order and stock transfer status.

Assist regional AMCs with various logistics and order fulfilment tasks.

Continuous Improvement & SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment)

Continuously improve import operations through the DICI program.

Follow all DSM Life Saving Rules and SHE procedures, actively promoting safety and accident prevention.

Support and encourage colleagues to meet or exceed SHE standards.

Ensure all personal safety, quality, and assigned training is up to date and compliant.

Report incidents, near misses, and improvement opportunities.

Report quality deviations or non-conformances and support quality directives and improvement projects.

Has the authority to intervene in cases of quality or safety concerns.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in a global logistics environment, preferably within the Animal Nutrition industry.

At least 5 years of hands-on experience with import/export activities.

Experience with outsourcing complex, high-standard warehousing, and distribution operations.

Proven experience in project management involving integrated global systems and cross-functional teams.

Experience with regulatory bodies and audits.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of warehousing and transportation, including Hazmat materials.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Advanced problem-solving skills in fast-paced and complex environments.

Proficiency in Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

SAP (R/3 and Business Warehouse) expertise is required.

Strong analytical, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Education:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or related field.
