Our client is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) who will play a key role in migrating and transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.

This position requires Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware residence and requires 3 days in the office in Philadelphia (Tuesday through Thursday).

Key Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and administer GCP architecture and environments, including cloud-native applications and automation.

• Optimize GCP costs, create cloud architecture diagrams, and extend on-prem policy and standards to cloud deployments.

• Implement solutions addressing cybersecurity issues, perform compliance validation and audits, and improve monitoring, configuration management, and reporting.

• Provide technical expertise in cloud technologies and support requests and troubleshooting issues involving other teams, partners, and vendors.

• Manage the implementation of IaC (Terraform) and DevOps procedures, including design and implementation of Terraform pipelines and scanning.

• Collaborate with the application development team to understand cloud infrastructure requirements and ensure high availability, performance, security, and maintainability of services.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.

• At least 7 years of experience in GCP and 10 years of experience with infrastructure as code and cloud orchestration, including hands-on experience with Terraform and reusable module creation.

• Expertise in GCP services, cloud build, cloud logging, artifact registry, and Google Cloud deployment.

• Experience in Terraform, CI/CD, IAM, Big Query, Composer, GKE, Cloud SQL, AI/ML models, IAM solutions, and scripting languages.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, CI, and registry tools.

• Solid understanding of cloud operations and engineering, including expertise in IAM, logging, encryption, security protocols, disaster recovery site design, automated infrastructure capabilities like backups and monitoring, and high-availability strategies.

• Excellent communication skills and collaborative work experience.

• Certification as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect is preferred

• GCP Associate or Professional certification is preferred.

• Healthcare insurance experience is highly preferred.
