Job Summary

The Grading Foreman is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company's projects which includes managing schedules, vendors, subcontractors, labor, equipment, and personnel. The foreman ensures the project is completed within timelines and budget, with adherence to the company's quality and safety standards. This is a full-time, exempt position. Overtime and Saturdays are required.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage grade crews to achieve production goals.

Inspect and oversee placement of materials to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Operate and coordinate the use of equipment.

Read and interpret blueprints for grading tasks.

Delegate tasks and schedule workers to ensure smooth daily operations.

Coordinate the delivery of equipment and materials.

Manage daily timekeeping, cost coding, and equipment logs in FMP on the company iPad daily.

Provide on-the-job training and enforce performance expectations with your crews.

Promote and enforce safety regulations according to site-specific plans and governing authorities.

Operating Top Con GPS systems in the field for running grade.

Education & Experience

Six years of experience as a grade foreman.

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Outlook

Able to use iPad for daily reporting purposes

Valid Driver's License

Competent in reading, understanding, and organizing construction plans and specifications.

Ability to work independently under pressure while exercising excellent judgement and meeting established deadlines.
