Business Systems Analyst - EDW Lead

Brooksource is looking for a Lead EDW Business Systems Analyst to join our Banking client in the Columbus area. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions by analyzing systems, gathering requirements, and ensuring technology aligns with strategic goals. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of banking operations, enterprise data warehousing, regulatory requirements, and system development life cycles.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business units to gather and document system requirements, use cases, and workflows
Analyze existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency and customer experience
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, developers, and technical teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of solutions
Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
Participate in system design sessions and provide input to solution design based on business needs and system capabilities
Support system testing efforts, including test case creation, execution, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal risk policies in all system solutions
Develop documentation including business requirements, technical specs, process flows, and user guides
Assist with the implementation and support of core banking systems and third-party applications
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
Lead other BSAs on project teams
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably within a banking or financial services environment
Experience working and delivering in an agile environment
Experience with Snowflake and AWS S3
Experience in data modeling activities in Erwin or other modeling tools
Understanding of enterprise data warehousing best practices and standards
Strong data mapping experience creating source to target mappings
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, and SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of API integrations, data mapping, and interface design
Understanding of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements (e.g., AML, KYC, SOX)
Experience with core banking platforms and/or digital banking systems
Experience leading other BSAs on a project team
