About the Role
We’re looking for a seasoned Payroll Specialist to join our fast-paced manufacturing company. With over 2,000 employees across multiple locations, we need someone who knows payroll inside and out—and isn’t afraid of complexity. If you’ve handled a payroll system conversion before, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities
Process and review multi-state, biweekly payroll for 2,000+ hourly and salaried employees.
Assist with and lead portions of payroll system conversion, including data validation, testing, and post-go-live troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Audit timekeeping systems, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate wage calculations.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to streamline payroll processes.
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits deductions, and taxes.
Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data.
Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders as needed (e.g., finance, auditors, compliance).
Qualifications
3+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume environment (1,000+ employees preferred).
Hands-on experience with payroll system conversions (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday, Ceridian, etc.).
Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations across multiple states.
Proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data validation).
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
