Junior Accountant

Position: Junior Accountant

Location: San Clemente, CA - Hybrid

Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 + OT

Growing Medical Device company is searching for a junior accountant to join their team.

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Junior Accountant will provide basic-level accounting support and will be responsible for assisting the finance team to maintain accurate financial records of the company. This position will work closely with other internal departments and external parties such as customers and vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Convert sales orders to invoices for proper revenue recognition.

Monitor Accounts Receivable/collections.

Daily bank deposits and credit card deposits including payment application

Reconcile bank account daily and at month-end.

Reconcile credit card statements and code to proper accounts.

Process Accounts Payable invoices and W-9 verification for new vendors.

Create Purchase Orders for AP invoices.

Process bi-weekly Accounts Payable ACH run and monitor when invoices are due.

Reconciliation of health benefits & Cobra

Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts for month-end.

Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Required

1-2 years professional experience in AR & AP.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Strong technology skills are critical particularly with Microsoft Excel and ERP’s
