Job Title: Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Manager

Job Summary
The EMR Manager is responsible for the optimization and effective utilization of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems throughout the organization. This role collaborates across departments to enhance care delivery, streamline operations, and ensure regulatory compliance while leading initiatives to improve EMR workflows and data integration.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to analyze workflows, identify system inefficiencies, and develop optimized EMR solutions.
Lead cross-functional teams in the design, customization, and implementation of EMR system enhancements and new functionalities.
Troubleshoot and resolve EMR system issues while driving continuous improvements and updates.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, CMS, and HRSA standards.
Stay current with healthcare regulatory changes and maintain policy adherence across systems.
Manage release planning and implementation of new EMR features and upgrades.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
Master's degree preferred.
Certifications:
eClinicalWorks "Train the Trainer" certification (must be completed within 90 days of hire).
RHIA or RHIT certification strongly preferred.
Current BLS and CPR certification (American Heart Association).
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in informatics and EMR/EHR systems management.
Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Background working in FQHCs or public/community health settings.
Required experience with eClinicalWorks (ECw).
Skills & Competencies
Deep understanding of Health Information Systems, EHR workflows, and compliance requirements.
Proven leadership, project management, and training capabilities.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to train groups and individuals.
Proficient in data analysis and translating metrics into operational insights.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Prior hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks is essential.
