A pioneering space technology company is seeking a Power Systems Manager to spearhead the development of next-generation space power propulsion systems. This role offers the opportunity to directly shape critical space and defense programs, working closely with a team of engineers and scientists at the forefront of innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Power Systems Development: Manage and mentor a team of electrical and systems engineers responsible for the design, integration, and testing of advanced space power systems.

Bridge BD and Engineering: Collaborate across business development and engineering functions to ensure technical designs meet program goals and customer needs from the earliest proposal phases.

Proposal and Program Leadership: Support major government proposal efforts, bringing a systems-level engineering perspective to help win and execute contracts.

Drive Product Innovation: Oversee the transition from R&D concepts to scalable and manufacturable space power solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership, program management, and third-party partners to align technology development with business objectives.

Industry Experience/Education:

Sector Expertise: 5-7+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or space sectors, with a strong focus on electrical power systems.

Start-Up/Scale-Up Environment: Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, growth-oriented organizations, taking initiative and demonstrating independence.

Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of power electronics, energy storage, and power distribution systems; spacecraft power systems experience is a major plus.

Security Clearance: Active or eligible for U.S. security clearance preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive Salary: $170,000–$200,000+, commensurate with experience.
