Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Product Owner/Business Analyst to join our IT Services team. This dual-role position requires a blend of product ownership expertise and business analysis acumen to drive the successful delivery of innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team. Define and prioritize product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create a robust product backlog. Develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap in alignment with business goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA, to deliver high-quality solutions. Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
Business Analysis: Gather, document, and analyze business requirements using interviews, workshops, and surveys. Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications. Identify and propose solutions to optimize business processes and enhance system capabilities. Conduct gap analyses and feasibility studies to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs. Validate delivered solutions against requirements and recommend enhancements as needed.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their business challenges and objectives. Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and outcomes.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in IT services.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in the IT services industry.
Proven track record of delivering successful software projects or IT services solutions.
Skills:
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in an Agile environment.
Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, and process modeling tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI-ACP, or similar.
Experience in ITSM (IT Service Management) or familiarity with ITIL frameworks.
Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and customer-centric product development.
