Our client, an 100% employee-owned company specializing in the design and manufacture of automation assembly and test equipment for the life science, personal care, and food industries, is hiring 2 experienced Controls Engineers to join our growing team in the Elgin, Illinois area.

What You’ll Do

Develop electrical, pneumatic, and software designs for automated equipment.

Create schematics, bills of materials, PLC/HMI software, and perform design testing.

Produce technical documentation including schematics, programming, and part lists.

Identify opportunities for tooling and process improvements.

What You Bring

B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical background).

Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Controls Engineer.

Proficiency in:

PLC/HMI platforms (Rockwell Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, Siemens, etc.)

Software tools (AutoCAD, MS Office, SQL, Ladder Logic)

Hardware systems (VFDs, servo drives, sensors, power systems up to 600 VAC)

Ability to design to NEC, NFPA, and other electrical standards.

AutoCAD Electrical experience a strong plus.
