About the Role:
EchoStar’s Hughes Network Systems division is seeking a Contractor - SAP Supply Chain Functional Analyst to join their Information Technology department. This is a highly visible position, supporting operational business users and helping drive improvements in SAP Supply Chain processes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a manufacturing environment — specifically with “LOTS” or “BATCHES” (e.g., pharmaceuticals, food production, chemicals, tools). Every piece of equipment and hardware, down to the smallest screw, is tracked via SAP batch/lot management. Candidates without this type of manufacturing experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
Review, analyze, and enhance existing business processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop new processes and solutions within production applications and evaluate/implement new business applications.
Provide hands-on SAP support, including problem-solving, configuration, documentation, testing, and developing training materials.
Collaborate with Senior SAP Analysts, application support teams, and business subject matter experts to drive system improvements.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
10+ years of SAP Supply Chain Functional experience across PP, SD, MM, WM, and IM modules.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expert-level SAP configuration, implementation, and support experience (ECC 6.0+).
Extensive knowledge in batch management, traceability, and document management.
Solid working knowledge across multiple SAP modules, including Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) integration.
Experience with GL account determination configuration.
Strong documentation skills (training, technical, business process).
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Prior experience with SAP EDI Administration, Vertex SAP Support, and Crystal Reporting.
