Akkodis is seeking an Android Developer for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC. Hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week. Your primary duties may include employing test-driven development (TDD), collaborating with the design team for new application features, identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code, and updating applications published on the App Store.
Rate Range: $65hour to $70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Description:
Bachelors degree in computer science or masters in software engineering.
5+ years of experience in Android Development using Kotlin and/or Java.
Must have experience writing automated tests using frameworks like Appium
Designing, building and maintaining next generation android mobile applications.
Providing TDD leadership to ensure exceptional code quality.
Ensuring enterprise-grade performance of the application to specifications.
Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks.
Maintaining the code and atomization of the application.
Designing and implementing application updates.
Ensuring quality and performance of the application to specifications.
Proficient in code versioning tools including Git, Bitbucket.
Familiarity with Biometrics, push notifications, usage of Camera APIs, etc.
Desired Skills/Experience:
Experience with continuous integration & Unit tests.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
