We truly understand the need for balance and, among other things and offer a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. That’s 26 long weekends a year!

The successful candidate will be part of Software V&V group and work closely with R&D to develop test methods and test cases for medical device embedded firmware and manufacturing test software. They will work closely with engineering groups to report defects and verify their solution during the test. They will have a strong background in software/firmware test development and documentation, preferably for medical devices or comparable regulated systems. In addition, they will be supporting automation of manual test cases by writing automation scripts and working closely with test automation developers

Summary of Job Duties:

Create test methods and test cases for firmware requirement verification.

Conduct firmware requirement verification and document test results.

Create test plans and reports and record defects observed.

Perform regression tests and other tests throughout software development and verification phases.

Continuously support testing needs of firmware developers.

Collaborate with software automation engineers to further enhance the capabilities of the test automation framework.

Work with cross-functional teams and technicians to design and develop test setup fixtures.

Education and Experience:

B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

3+ years of firmware testing or related experience.

Experience with firmware testing from concept to production and for maintenance.

Experience and efficiency with test and measurement equipment (e.g. Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Programmable Power Supply, DMM).

Ability to read and understand data sheets and schematics.

Experience with configuration management and issue tracking and resolution.

Experience with medical device software life cycles processes (IEC 62304) is preferred.

Ability to meet deadlines and work in multidisciplinary project teams.
