SQL Report Developer

Our client is a growing Collections Firm that has excellent leadership and employee retention. As they continue to expand they are seeking a SQL Report Developer in charge of designing, building, and managing SQL databases. Create queries and commands that communicate with relational databases. Write queries to retrieve or manipulate data, build or modify tables, or handle user permissions and security. Responsible for optimizing database performance, testing and troubleshooting database issues, and collaborating with other members of the development team to create and execute new features, in addition to writing SQL queries.

Responsibilities

Design and Develop Reports: Create, maintain, and optimize reports using SQL and reporting tools like SSRS, Power BI, or Crystal Reports.

Write Complex SQL Queries: Develop and fine-tune SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.

Data Analysis and Validation: Analyze data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various reporting outputs.

Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts, data analysts, and end-users to understand reporting requirements and deliver meaningful insights.

Maintain Documentation: Document report logic, data sources, and processes for transparency, maintenance, and compliance purposes.

Performance Tuning: Monitor and improve the performance of SQL queries and reports, especially with large datasets.

Data Integration and ETL Support: Occasionally support or develop ETL processes to prepare data for reporting, ensuring proper data flow and transformation

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant degree.

Proven years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role.

Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server.

Deep understanding of database design principles

Knowledge of extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes

Proficiency in writing complex queries

Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SSRS, SQL Server Analysis Services
