Nutanix Architect

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Nutanix Architect with strong experience to design, implement, and manage hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) environments supporting our mission-critical financial applications. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in Nutanix technologies with a strong understanding of high-performance, secure, and compliant infrastructure requirements specific to the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect and deploy scalable, resilient Nutanix HCI solutions that meet stringent performance, security, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX).

Lead Nutanix platform design initiatives across private cloud, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.

Collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, Compliance, and Application teams to align infrastructure architecture with regulatory and operational requirements.

Optimize existing Nutanix clusters for low-latency and high-availability environments, crucial for financial transaction processing.

Design disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans leveraging Nutanix native tools (e.g., Xi Leap, native replication, Calm).

Integrate Nutanix platforms with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) for hybrid cloud and data mobility solutions.

Develop detailed design documents, security standards, and operational runbooks.

Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and regular health checks of Nutanix environments.

Support audits, compliance initiatives, and security reviews by providing technical documentation and evidence.

Stay current with Nutanix product innovations and FinTech infrastructure trends to recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

5+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with 2–3+ years specializing in Nutanix solutions in production environments.

Strong expertise with Nutanix AOS, Prism Central, AHV virtualization, Files, Flow, and Calm.

Solid experience supporting financial systems and understanding of financial transaction processing performance demands.

Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V alongside AHV.

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR relevant to FinTech infrastructure.

Familiarity with automation (e.g., Calm, Terraform, PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.

Proficient in integrating Nutanix with public clouds (especially AWS and Azure).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in mission-critical environments.

Preferred Certifications:

Nutanix Certified Master – Multicloud Infrastructure (NCM-MCI)

Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP-MCI)

VMware VCP, AWS/Azure certifications, or FinTech-specific security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM)

Soft Skills:

High attention to detail and risk mitigation, essential for financial systems.

Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including security, compliance, DevOps, and application development.

Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
