Summary:

As an Application Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our applications successfully migrate to the cloud, meet business requirements and adhere to best practices in cloud architecture. In addition, we have applications that are greenfield and will start their journey in the cloud. Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Experience

Leading cloud migration projects using Google Cloud services, implementing cloud-native applications.

Developing containerized applications with CloudRun effectively scaling for large volume fluctuations.

Implementing event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub for a large-scale implementation (hundreds of millions of events per day).

Designing and deploying data processing solutions using BigTable, BigQuery and Dataflow.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, including networking, security, and compliance.

Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices.

Experience with automation and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.

Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.

Other relevant certifications like Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

Hands-on experience with key Google Cloud services such as Pub/Sub, BigTable, BigQuery, CloudRun, and Dataflow

Experience in cloud architecture design, including creating scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience architecting software solutions with demanding requirements such as performance, high availability, reliability, security, etc.

Understand data and system integration patterns and technologies

Proficiency in managing large scale efforts

Understanding of Agile methodologies and how architecture integrates with Agile development teams

Ability to articulate and transfer complex ideas to a wide audience through both verbal and written communication

Strong conceptual, critical thinking, technical and problem-solving skills with good attention to details

Articulate and have the ability to meet with high level management to present and/or deliver technical documentation
