Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Kent, WA
Compensation: Set Pay Rate: $45.26
Schedule: D Shift – Friday-Sunday 5:00pm-5:30am
Contract: 6-month duration, potential extension or full-time conversion
What You'll Do:
Program, set up, and machine 3, 4, and 5-axis mills & multi-axis lathes
Fabricate precision components with tight tolerances for spaceflight hardware
Work with engineers to document, standardize, and improve machining processes
Ensure product quality and conformance to engineering specifications
Play a role in human spaceflight innovations
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of experience machining aerospace components
Hands-on experience with nickel-based alloys, copper, aluminum, titanium
Skilled in operating Mazak, Kuraki, Hermle, OM, and DMG Mori CNC machines
Proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5M-1994), blueprint reading, Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol
Ability to provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback
Preferred Skills:
Tooling & fixture design
Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) experience
Outside processing knowledge (heat treat, plating, EDM, grinding)
Mastercam X6+ or Unigraphics NX CNC programming
CMM programming & operation
