Job Opening: Test Technician

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Duration: 06 months [Contract]

We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our team! You will help configure, maintain, and troubleshoot server systems and ensure validation infrastructure is always ready for testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Configure and maintain server test hardware and infrastructure.

Swap processors or hardware components as needed.

Keep systems updated and test-ready to support roadmap schedules.

Work under pressure and multitask across projects to meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of PC validation/testing experience.

Strong knowledge of MS Windows and Linux OS (installation, configuration, command-line usage).

Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Familiarity with PC architecture, peripherals, and subsystems (Memory, PCI-E, USB, SATA, Ethernet).

Experience with x86 architecture.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

OS installation, setup, and troubleshooting (Windows and Linux).

BIOS configuration and device driver installation.

PC hardware setup: processors, hard drives, memory, and network cards.

Experience with multiprocessor platforms (workstations, servers).

Additional Expectations:

Ability to accurately follow technical instructions.

Strong written communication skills (emails, documenting test results).

Enthusiastic, collaborative attitude and ability to learn quickly.
