The Desktop Support position is responsible for providing onsite and remote support to multiple clients around downtown Houston area. Duties include troubleshooting and resolving desktop applications to server level connectivity issues. Working well with others is a must, as well as maintaining good customer relations. Our support technicians are responsible for documenting problems/requests and resolutions in a thorough manner using our proprietary ticketing system. Candidates filling these positions are analytical and should have very good problem-solving skills. Travel around the city is required; however, we position our technicians at central locations that allow us to support our clients remotely and physically in a timely manner.

Desired Skills & Experience

Basic Network administration experience in the following environment:

Windows Server 2019/2022/2025

Active Directory

Windows 10/11 Workstations

Administrative knowledge of:

LAN & WAN

Hardware (including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls etc.)

Network configuration

Basic Network Protocols

Troubleshooting LAN/WAN routing and connectivity issues

Spam filtering solutions

Internet firewalls

Workstation configuration/installation

Required Criteria – One of the following

CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, MCSA etc.

We are willing to compensate for achieving certifications while employed by us.

Personal Skills & Requirement

Minimum of 5 years’ experience

Excellent customer service skills.

Clear and professional communication

Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel

Strong documentation skills

A professional attitude is a must.

Ability to contribute thoughtful planning, careful execution, and effective teamwork.

Ability to collaborate with other IT professionals and, as needed, various external consultants/vendors. Your role will include a variety of tasks: implementing new system deployment; administering networks, remote administration, training and supporting end-users.

Well organized and the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.

Capable of working both independently and in a team.

Must be self-driven and able to work with little supervision.

Flexibility to adapt to varying environments.

Physical Skills & Requirements

Able to lift 50 pounds (or personal computer, monitor, printer).

Working Conditions

Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5:00 PM, business hours will vary slightly according to client work schedule.

Available to come in early or stay late if required.

Available for after-hours support when needed.

Able to travel in town.

NO RELOCATION ASSISTANCE WILL BE PROVIDED.
