User Experience Designer

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to translate design concepts into responsive, interactive user interfaces

Build, test, and refine UI components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks

Ensure usability, accessibility, and performance of web applications

Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on feasibility and implementation

Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and services

Maintain design consistency and follow brand guidelines across all digital assets

Troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX issues across platforms and devices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

4+ years of professional front-end or UX development experience

Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive design principles

Experience with frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js

Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and web accessibility standards (WCAG)

Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred:

Previous experience at Cisco Systems Inc.

Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments

Understanding of design systems and component-based architecture
