We’re looking for a passionate Android Engineer to join our mobile team onsite five days a week. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and wants to contribute to the next generation of secure, high-performance streaming apps.

Salary: 110-170K

What You’ll Be Doing:

Build and evolve native Android apps focused on delivering secure, seamless, and high-quality video streaming experiences.

Integrate and optimize DRM systems like Widevine to protect premium digital content across diverse Android devices.

Work shoulder-to-shoulder with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to bring creative concepts to life in a collaborative environment.

Tackle performance tuning, device compatibility, and low-level media rendering challenges head-on to ensure top-tier app performance.

Keep the user experience smooth and responsive across varying screen sizes, OS versions, and hardware capabilities.

Stay ahead of the curve by experimenting with emerging media delivery techniques and Android ecosystem updates.

Dive into complex technical issues across multiple Android versions and debug them down to the root.

Take part in rigorous code reviews and mentor peers on clean architecture, security, and performance optimization.

Balance multiple priorities while consistently delivering reliable features on tight timelines.

Act as a decision-maker on your projects—driving feature design, implementation strategies, and technical direction.

What We’re Looking For:

Solid background in Android development with a strong portfolio of production-ready apps.

Proficiency in both Kotlin and Java, and fluency with Android Studio, Gradle, and related tools.

Hands-on experience building for modern and legacy versions of Android OS.

Deep technical familiarity with Android’s media stack, UI rendering engine, and system-level APIs.

Proven ability to fine-tune video rendering and memory management for smooth playback under constrained conditions.

Strong command of architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVP, and working knowledge of Jetpack components.

Experience working with encryption, secure storage, and other mobile app security best practices.

Comfort working with cloud-based services like AWS, and integrating backend APIs via REST or WebSockets.

Version control expertise, especially using Git in a team setting.

Bonus points if you’ve worked in a fast-moving agency or startup setting and thrived under real-world deadlines.
