Job Overview:
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and oversee complex technology programs and initiatives across Cooper Machinery Services. The Sr Technology Program Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering enterprise-wide technology programs that align with business objectives and drive digital transformation. This role requires strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously while navigating organizational complexity.
With a focus on program governance and delivery excellence, this role provides leadership in program planning, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and resource allocation. The Sr Technology Program Manager serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into actionable technology solutions while ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead complex, cross-functional technology programs from initiation through implementation and post-implementation review
Develop comprehensive program plans including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management strategies
Drive strategic technology initiatives that deliver measurable business value and support organizational objectives
Establish program governance frameworks, including reporting structures, change control processes, and decision-making protocols
Manage dependencies across multiple projects within the program portfolio and coordinate with other program managers
Lead regular program status meetings and provide executive-level reporting on program health, risks, and issues
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations throughout the program lifecycle
Identify, analyze, and mitigate program risks and issues, escalating to leadership when appropriate
Manage program budgets and financial forecasting, tracking expenditures and variances
Lead vendor management activities, including contract negotiations, performance management, and relationship development
Facilitate organizational change management to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and processes
Mentor project managers and provide guidance on project management methodologies and best practices
Define and track program KPIs and benefits realization to demonstrate business value
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
8+ years of experience in technology program/project management, with at least 5 years leading enterprise-level programs
PMP certification or equivalent program management certification required
Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, with the ability to adapt approach based on program requirements
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-million dollar technology programs
Experience managing programs across multiple domains (infrastructure, applications, cloud, security, etc.)
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and system integration principles
Experience with program management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, ServiceNow)
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders
Experience managing technology vendor relationships and third-party integrations
Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and governance practices
Financial management experience, including budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements
