Laborer- Material Handler

Job Description

This work can be physically demanding that involves manually loading and unloading windows and doors from trucks, putting them onto wheeled carts or pickers to be stored appropriately in the warehouse.

There are times when help is needed for deliveries, also. You will ride along with a driver to assist with loading and unloading material at the customer site or new construction site. This is all manual labor (no material handling equipment such as hi-los are not used).

Schedule: Full Time hours- Monday-Thursday 6-4pm.

Slow down period in December. Candidate will most likely be laid off for a period of time in the colder months. Uncertain on how long.

Keys for success:

Timeliness- 6am sharp start time.

MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 100 pounds alone - the position requires manually lifting windows and doors from and onto trucks.

Order Picker Experience- company uses pickers to put product away.

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment- seeking an individual that is more hands on.

Teamwork- the candidate will sometimes go on delivery runs with drivers to help unload product at a customer home or new construction site.
