Job Summary:
The Global Publisher group exists to discover, recruit, onboard and develop, affiliate performance partnership opportunities, to match advertiser side needs, with the goal of increasing overall performance for our clients. Our objectives as a group are to diversify and grow, our Global network across emerging Geography, Vertical and by Publisher Types; and to win and retain key global/local accounts. The focus for this role will be in the APAC regions, with markets like Australia and New Zealand.
The Publisher Acquistion Specialist will play a pivotal role in recruiting the publisher network, both in depth and breadth of publishers with a focus on a region, vertical or key client projects. The role plays an important part in contributing to client satisfaction and the achievement of Publisher and Rakuten Marketing revenue goals. expanding our publisher network to drive business growth in existing and new markets. We go beyond offering creative solutions to our clients and partners—we actively shape them by leveraging our expertise in performance marketing, products, and industry insights to redefine how people shop online and how our partners enhance their profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pro-actively meet and recruit relevant publishers based on market / vertical / client needs.
Conduct online research and networking to find, develop and manage own publisher acquisition pipeline, supported by Manager, and key commercial stakeholders
Design suitable strategies to develop the use of affiliate marketing activities to empower the growth of publishers with diverse business model.
Represent the Rakuten Affiliate Network in market to educate key publishers on the use of affiliate marketing with the aim of recruiting them to the network.
Increase the awareness of the Rakuten brand by always positively representing the company in every call.
Educating and motivate our new organic signed up publishers to became active sending weekly e-mails and taking punctual actions.
Responsible for welcome materials (guides, tutorials).
Attend industry events.
Provide account onboarding and activation support to a set portfolio of publishers.
Run reports and provide bespoke analysis to ensure visibility on campaign performance.
Provide visibility for publishers in internal forums to maximize new partnership approval.
Act as ‘inside sales’ for partner, to help advocate and educate Rakuten Advertising commercial teams (Sales and Client Services), across all global networks.
Work towards a quota and potential revenue target to meet revenue goals for set portfolio.
Learn high level capabilities of our proprietary software and educate publishers to increase adoption.
Support the APAC team in internal and external communications regarding cross functional initiatives & network updates.
Remain ahead of industry trends and development by reading industry news and networking to act as an expert in discussion with publishers.

Technical /functional expertise
Solid proficiency with Excel for client-ready reports and presentations.
Ability and willingness to learn publisher integration tools and products.
Good working knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft PPT and Excel (data pivoting).
Salesforce experience to record and track or CRM (ideal).

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 year experience in digital marketing, affiliate publisher landscape, affiliate marketing (or similar business development role).
Bachelor's degree, internship experience preferred
Excellent English (must)
